• Display name — shown on the leaderboard (optional)
• ZIP code — helps us understand where participants are coming from (optional)
• Referral source — how you heard about us (optional)
• Check-in data — which vendors you visited, timestamps, and approximate location during check-in
• Device information — browser type and IP address for security and fraud prevention

How We Use Your Data

• Verify your identity and manage your account
• Track your passport stamps and determine prize eligibility
• Display leaderboard standings
• Send event-related emails (verification, password reset, milestone achievements)
• Improve the event experience through aggregate analytics
• Prevent fraud and abuse

What We Don't Do

• We do not sell your personal data to third parties
• We do not share your email with vendors or sponsors
• We do not use third-party advertising trackers

Data Retention

Account data is retained for up to 12 months after the most recent event you participated in. Aggregate, anonymized analytics may be kept indefinitely to improve future events.

Cookies & Sessions

We use a session cookie (pvc_session) to keep you logged in. This cookie is secure, HTTP-only, and does not track you across other websites. We do not use third-party cookies.

Third-Party Services

We use a small number of third-party services to operate this site:

• OpenStreetMap — map tiles are loaded from OpenStreetMap tile servers, which may receive your IP address
• MXRoute — our email delivery provider; transactional emails (verification, password reset) are sent through MXRoute servers
• unpkg.com CDN — the Leaflet mapping library is loaded from unpkg.com, which may receive your IP address

Data Deletion

You may request deletion of your account and personal data at any time by emailing doug@dougshipe.com. We will process your request within 30 days.
